Jane Aida (ah-EE-dah, not AY-dah) used to be one of my favourite names.
I think
Jane works perfectly well in the modern day.
Jane itself is nice and professional (especially in comparison to Maddysin!), and the nickname
Janey is a bit edgy-sounding--at least, it is to me. When I think of
Janey, the song "
Janey's Got a Gun" and
Jane Lane of
Daria (whose brother called her
Janey) come to mind.
It's really a fantabulous name overall. I think that the best middle names would be the three syllable or more, ends-in-a-vowel sort.
Jane Louisa,
Jane Aida,
Jane Ramona,
Jane Calliope,
Jane Kalila,
Jane Penelope...
