I like Pamela (m)
It is like you say, soft and feminine without being frilly or silly. Very classy name, and it works well on any age.The only thing stopping me from truly loving it, is the almost inevitable nn Pam. Pam just sounds hard, like a slap on the ear, plus it's the name of a nonstick spray you put on your baking pans, and my husband's incredibly annoying aunt.
