Re: Dorian, Oscar, Desmond

I really like Dorian in case of phonetics, but because of the book I don't even think about it. I really dislike Oscar Wilde - his sentimentalism, moralism. Quite honestly, I'm not very fond of Victorian literature, though I know it is very fashionable for the momoent. Actually the only Victorian books I read with pleasure are Sherlock Holmes-short stories, the two Alice-books and some Stevenson with some Eliot. :D
Dorian Francis?
- Very Victorian, I kinda like the feeling it has.
Dorian Valentine?
- Over the top - very, very pretentious.
Dorian Silas?
- A little pretentious, too, but I like the colours: lila with golden.
Dorian Augustus?
- Over the top, too. Something like Dorian George or Dorian Isaac could work. I really like Dorian Hugo.
For the first 15 years of my life I absolutely loathed the name Oscar, but suddenly I feel as though it has a wonderful, antique charm to it. It's probably due in part to Oscar Wilde.
- Haha, I removed Oscar from my PNL after "re-discovering" mr. Wilde.
Oscar Valentine?
- Fine, makes me think of Oscar Wilde
Oscar Dorian?
- Makes me think of guess what...
Oscar Odysseus?
- Hmm, interesting. I am not completely sure about it.
Oscar Dimitri?
- :) Yay!
Oscar Meriwether?
- Yay to this combo, too!
*gasp* Oscar Wilde?
- I'd say no. Wilde is a cool last name, btw.
Desmond is on my PNL. It has an amazing, freezy sound.
Desmond Silas?
- No. No to two 2-syllabled names in one combo.
Desmond Ulysses?
- Fine
Desmond Ludovic?
- Works well...
Desmond Wilde?
- The playing of "d"s is fun!
Desmond Meriwether?
- Kind of too much, both of them are two similar, at least that's the way I feel.
Desmond Augustus?
- Bravo!
