Sandor
WDYT? I discovered this name recently and, while I'm not sure I'd use it, I find it quite handsome.

I love it. Mind you, I'm biased. It's one of my best friend's names.
I think its handsome beyong belief. He thinks its an annoying name to grow up with (you always need to repeat it twice, people mispronounce, etc). :-)

I like it, but I prefer Sander.
Sandor is not too shabby, but I don't like the "or" ending. It makes it sound like the name of a villain in a kiddie cartoon.
I really like it! Yet, I pronounced it like Sander (and I prefer that pronunciation even though Sandor looks better), without the Sh- sound so I doubt I would personally use it because if I mispronounced it, I'm sure a bunch of other people in my region would.

I think it's a good name. My friends used it as a mn for one of their boys. The dad's mn is Alexander.
Love Sandor.
I've always been drawn to Sander van Ochre's (sp?) name. He's a TV journalist; I'm not sure if he's even still working.
Anyway, I always liked Sander as a variant to Alexander. But at the back of my mind I had a vision of a man sanding a piece of wood. Then I discovered the Hungarian variant Sandor. Problem solved. :-)
I've been getting hooked more and more on Hungarian / Eastern European names lately. My next obsession . . . ?

When I was this name I instantly remember Rodrigo Santoro. Anyway I like it a lot…
