Bryony/Briony
What do you think of Bryony and Briony?
I kind of like the sound of it.
I think I like it spelled Briony better.
It kind of seems a little masculine though, like Brian with a -y.Actually I probably wouldn't even use another B name unless I only had one more baby and it was a last chance kind of thing cuz I wouldn't want two B names and then some other letters, like my mom did with my brothers Keith and Kevin, then me (Laura) and my sis Brenda - I always thought that was weird.

I really like it. I like both spellings but prefer Bryony a bit more. My Uncle's ex wife is named Briony.

I like it (but only Briony), but I think it has the potential to become very trendy.

I also feel like Briony is very Brian with a -y, but I do like the overall sound, so I'd just stick with Bryony. Sadly, I have to agree about not using the same letter. My sister and I are Jennifer and Jessica, and it always drove us nuts having matching initials.

I love this name! It's very pretty spelled either way.

I really love Bryony. I prefer that spelling. Although you're correct, and it is close to Brian, it still seems very feminine to me.

This is such a beautiful name. It does have an excellent sound, too. But all I think of is the character from Atonement. I like both spellings equally.

I love Briony, but wouldn't use it. mBut ONLY spelled Briony. I hate Bryony, it looks wrong.
I think I like it because of Ian McEwan's Atonement, because thus the name is linked to the "Old English world" in my head that I love so much.

The name is all right, but it reminds me of that brat from "Atonement".
