How to pronounce Nevaeh?
I know this seems like a silly question, but how do you pronounce Nevaeh? My first instinct is to say neh-VAY-eh, but I don't think that's right. Also, is the "aeh" ending pronounced as one syllable or two? Thanks!

Neh-vay-uhbecause aeh can't possibly make an "AY" sound so i can't figure out why ppl say it as Neh-vay.

NEH-va-ehTo me, neh-VAY-uh would be spelled Neveah. It makes more sense to pronounce the E's the same. Neh-VAY is logical too, but the H at the end makes me want to give it another syllable.I can't quite figure out where the accent ought to fall- IMO it's prettier on the first syllable, but more intuitive to be on the second- so I guess my pronounciation is pretty close to your neh-VAY-eh, Hannah.

I say it like neh-VAY-eh, but sometimes as neh-VAY. I've heard it pronounced both ways.

The first Nevaeh I met pronounced it Ne-Vay-Uh so that's how I say it...every Nevaeh I've met after pronounce it the same.

I would like to pronounce it neh-VAY, but apparently everyone says neh-VAY-uh. It seems senseless.

Not senseless! Makes perfect sense!Especially if you think of the last syllable as -eh and not -uh.Raphael pronounces the -el. Israel. Azrael. AE is not uncommonly pronounced as two separate syllables. Michael puzzles me a lot actually, none of the other archangels clip their "el" syllable like that, it should be mick-hie-el IMO

ditto.

ditto, neh-VAY is actually pretty IMO

Nevé, maybe?Or even Nivé(e) would be pretty! With the first spelling (Nevé) you could tell everyone it's "even" backwards, because you want everything to be even, fair, and just in her life. That would show all the parents who name their daughters Nevaeh! ;)

I think Neve and Neva are really pretty. Neve / Nive with an accent could work. I think the pronunciation neh-VAY sounds really pretty, it's the combination of letters and backwards Heaven that annoys me.

neh-VAYI think because Heaven is only 2 syllables it makes me more inclined to pronounce Nevaeh with 2. The "aeh" is very confusing to me, especially the "ae". It's a confusing combination of letters that don't go together IMO.

It's not a real name, it's just 'heaven' backwards, so I guess you pronounce it however you want.
