Oh, I love it! Not so much for a fn, but it would make a great mn.

I actually think it's kind of a neat name. I've never heard of it as a name before. It makes me think of the bird first, which is a good association. But then of course there's the soap and the chocolate.

It just feels a bit...I don't know, awkward as a name. It's not just that it's a word not commonly used as a name, it's just the sound. Dove. Dove. I can't imagine calling someone Dove, and I'm not sure why. Dovie presents no particular problem. Just...Dove.

Pink Princess is right that it could be a cool middle name.

First I think of a bird and then soap...it might take me a while to get to a person named Dove. It's not my kind of name for sure.

Could be nice for a mn, but don't like it as a fn.

I don't like it as a given name. That said, a friend of my brother's is nicknamed Dove (I think his name's David) which is pretty cool.

I really like Dove as a middle name, but dislike it as a first name.

I think it would be nice for a middle name. Dovie is a cute nickname for it.

I don't like it or it's nickname. It sounds a little cut off and neither feminine or masculine.

It's sweet in theory, but I just can't warm to it as a name. I mean, I like the birds a lot but that doesn't change the fact they're really just pigeons with good PR. :) And of course there's the soap.

I've been a fan of it for a long while.
