Re: Jonah/ Jonas

I'm like you. I should like Jonas better because I tend to like Greek variants over Hebrew ones (ex: Elias over Elijah). Plus, I would have thought that Jonah-in-the-belly-of-the-whale would cause me to shy away from the name. But I recently lost my favorite aunt, Joan, and Jonah is closer in sound. So that's my favorite between the two.
As for how it sounds with Oliver, Clara and Tobias, you're going to run into a very minor problem with either Jonah or Jonas, as you already pointed out. So I wouldn't bother trying to use how the name would sound with the siblings. Either Jonah or Jonas match the style of the others beautifully and would work just fine.
Jonah Benjamin
Jonah Barnabas
Jonah Bernard
Jonah Bartholomew
Jonah Matthias
Jonah Simon
Jonah Thaddeus
Jonah Max
Jonah Cornelius
Jonah Michael
Jonah Elias ;-)
Jonah Daniel
Jonah Melchior
Jonah Gabriel
Jonah Malachi
Jonah Patrick
Jonah Gavin
Jonah Malcolm
Jonah Calum / Callum
Good luck!

Thank you for your suggestions, I like Jonah Gabriel and Jonah Malachi but particularly Jonah Max! I have a bit of an unconscious three letter middle name theme going on with my two other boys names (it just seems that three letter names appeal to me!) and I'd like to carry that on if there is a name I actually like enough to use and I love Max! Thank you!
