BA sibset - Ptolemy, Atticus, Octavius
This one is the only BA I've ever seen to get into the Pseuds Corner (utterly bizarre and/or pretentious news stories) section of Private Eye (British satirical magazine).I can't remember the exact phrasing, but the names werePtolemy Ned (the one the BA was A'ing)
Atticus Monty
Octavius KitWdyt? I'd prefer Octavian to Octavius, but I love the FNs as a set. What strikes me as bad isn't particularly the first names - I'd just about keel over for joy meeting a baby called Ptolemy, Atticus, or Octavius - but the middle names. Why? Why didn't they use Ptolemy Edward and Octavius Christopher? The collision of styles - heavyweight FN plus nickname-as-whole-name MN - produces a very weird effect, imo. Thoughts?

I love the name Atticus. Ptolemy and Octavius are cool too.

It does produce a stange effect. I think it should be Ptolemy Edward, Atticus Monatgue and Octavius Christopher or even better Octavius Christian! I like the FNs in theory and together they make a nice set but I'm not sure if I met brothers with these names I might just say "poor guys". I'm growing to love Atticus and Ptolemy is rather nice but Octavius isn't my style as much as I do like Tertius and Septimus. :)
