There was a little girl on holiday called Armani. The mum said "Her name's Armani, like the jeans". I think she knew that some people would find it a bit odd. The family were British (Afro-Caribbean).It's not my style and also a bit rhymey with Giovanni. Georgio would be ok but not with Giovanni as a brother.

No way !It's a clothing brand, for crying out loud. It's like naming a child Gucci or Prada.

Armani, Giovanni and sister Coco or Westwood... maybe... please don't do it.

Armani is just a surname to me, why not go for an Italian first name instead? I think they are too similar anyway.

I like it as a mn...but as a fn, I wouldn't use it. Armani and Giovanni aren't too similar to use for brothers.

NMSAA. Please. I like Giovanni, but Armani is too much. You might find something that works better here: http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?terms=*ni&nmd=n&gender=m&operator=or

Armani will forever be linked to the brand. It'd be like naming a child Givenchy or Galliano as a first name. Just...no.Giovanni is great, though. I like it a lot. What about Antonio instead of Armani?

I think Armani is tacky, materialistic, empty and gross, sorry. It just sounds so.. corny. Like the parents are trying to make him sound rich and lap-of-luxury, but it just makes him look sleezy. Giovanni is such a nice name, it would be a shame to see it paired with Armani. And yes, I do think they're too similar, as they rhyme. What about Armando? It has the same ethnic background as Giovanni, and is a thousand times classier, IMO.
