Do you guys add nicknames to your PNL?
just a quick question. I am thinking of adding all of the nicknames I really like but it would definitely put my PNL over the 200 mark. (And all 185 names on there now are names I really love!)
Do you guys put nicknames you love on your PNL?

Yes, sometimes, but in the "comments" section I say that they're nicknames.
It depends
I only put nicknames on my PNL if it's technically a nn, but I would be willing to use it on a birth certificate. Tess, Margot, and Greta make my PNL, for example, but Cate does not because my Cate would be Catherine.

Sometimes
... but probably because I don't like many nicknames. For example, Ferdinand is on my list, but not any of its nicknames because I can't stand those. The ones I do have are Pancho (for Francisco) and Siri (for Sigrid). If there's a nickname I actually *like*, I add it because it's a rare occurrence when I like one.

only Kate, for Katherine.
yep
No. I'm keeping my PNL short for the time being and I'm not the greatest fan of nicknames anyway, so they're not something I really dwell on. But I'm not saying I'll never ever add a nickname, especially considering I don't have that many names on my PNL.
I have a looooong name list....
in a Word file. :-) Nicknames, combos, long-term favorites, big alphabetized lists, etc. I keep the less usual ones that have caught my interest in some way on my PNL in my profile. They're usually the ones that I'd be more apt to forget about if they were in a bigger group of names. I can't remember ever having paid attention to PNLs that were much longer than mine; I get bored when it feels like someone's indiscriminately posting every name they've ever felt even slightly inclined to like.
So yeah, I put in the occassional nickname that I love--Noll is in there, I think--but it usually doesn't relate to anything else on my list. :-) Because whatever I might like it as a nickname for is probably in my other file.

Yes, I have quite a few where I have the nickname only and not a full name in my PNL because I don't like the full name as much:
Bobbie (g)
Cassie
Jamie (b)
Lizzie
Mattie (g)
Tess
Tom
I would probably use a full length name e.g. Cassandra or Elizabeth if I was naming a child for real or use them as middle names.
I also have Ben and Benjamin because I like both names equally.

Actually, I don't really have any that qualify as true nicknames. Lara for Larissa/Larisa is about the closest thing, but even that stands alone.
Definitely.
Some people were saying I should take off some nicknames from my PNL because they were too nicknamey, when I made my PNL post. I have exactly 400 names on my PNL, even though I wasn't trying to do that. :)

Occasionally, not often
I might mark in the comments' section of the original name the nickname I like. I do have Lari (the nickname I love for Laurence) on the list, as well as Katri. But that's about it - the rest are written as comments.

I do it differently
On the list, I click the edit button and put the NNs there. That way they're all still there, nice and neat, but don't send my PNL overflowing into Guam.

I'm completely revamping mine currently, but I don't. Personally, I see my PNL as my personal space for full names I like and would consider. However, if you really like it, I see no problem. I just don't personally.

Sometimes. I have these:
Trent (Trenton)
Nick (Phoenix)
Cole (Nicholas)
Adelle (Adelaide or Adeline)

Oh can I possibly sell you
on using Adelle as a full name and Adeline as a name she "goes by"? Please? That is so much more dignified to me. I love Adelle Adelaide and Adeline, but ... really I like Adeline better as a nickname, as that is where its etymological dignity lies. Oh please!

Yes.
Especially when I love a nickname but can't abide any names it might be short for (Alfie, for example).
But maybe I shouldn't be the one advising you, as I rarely consider the length of my PNL; I currently have over 400 names on mine. *sheepish*
