Love Natasha, but Alexander ruins it for me. Should be Alexandra.

I can't stand the name Natasha, and it's solely because of a bad association. The only Natasha I ever knew talked nonstop and was extremely tactless. She never had a thought she didn't verbalize. In spite of this, I thought she was a good person and liked her. Until she stabbed my daughter in the back for her own purely selfish reasons (she wanted my daughter's extremely recent ex-boyfriend.) I have never been able to forgive her. Completely ruined the name for me. Irrelevant, perhaps, since this obviously is personal, not having to do with the merits of the name itself, but a good example of how a name can be ruined by association.

I love Natasha, but...
Alexander? Jeez. The reason why I hate all feminine forms of Alexander is because Alexander is such a strong masculine name to me. It's one of my favorites, but the first thing that comes to mind is Alexander the Great (not too girly IMO haha). That's one of the reasons why I find it so strong and handsome, and also why I am repulsed to see it on a girl. Oh well, whatever floats his boat, I suppose. I guess they decided to use his real name instead of Alexandra to honor him.

At least it's a normal name, unlike some celebrity babies' monikers. Jermajesty, anyone?
I don't think it's bad I was just suprised :o)
