Is this how Eva is pronounced in USA?

I though Eva was pronounced as EE-va, and Ava as AY-va?
I prefer Ava, since I think the pronounciation is always AY-va.
Though here in Sweden I prefer Eva, but here it is pronounced as EH-va.
