I love the name pronounced like that. Its not very popular so your kid would be one of a kind

I prefer it as AY-va, but most Americans don't seem to pronounce it that way. I am in the minority, heh.

Eva is a GP for me. I've always seen it pronounced as "ee vuh" or "eh vuh". I personally prefer the pronounciation "ee vuh". I've heard of people using "ay vuh" but I see this as being spelled Ava. By the way, I LOVE the name Ava...it's so gorgeous and is one of my faves!

I prefer the pronunciation EE-va for the Eva spelling and Ava for the AY-va pronunciation. Both are very nice, imo.

I prefer it pronounced as EE-VUH. And Ava as AY-VUH.

I like it, but with that spelling I prn it Ee-va. To prn it AY-va, I would spell it Ava. I think they're pretty either way, though.

Is this how Eva is pronounced in USA?I though Eva was pronounced as EE-va, and Ava as AY-va? I prefer Ava, since I think the pronounciation is always AY-va. Though here in Sweden I prefer Eva, but here it is pronounced as EH-va."You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."

I've known people named Eva in the U.S. who pronounce it EE-va and others who pronounce it EH-va. Personally, I pronounce it as EH-va b/c the first person I met with that name pronounced it this way. But I have never heard Eva pronounced as AY-va.

My great-grandma's name is Eva and she pronounces it as EE-va, so thats the way that I have always seen it.

Love it. I really dislike Ava, though, and I also don't like Eva prn. EE-vah. I love the combo Eva Catharina. ;)__________________________________________________
