Tatiana or Tatyana?
I know a couple who have a fourteen-year-old daughter named Tatyana. The father is fluent in Russian, has visited Russia several times, and knows much about its history and culture. Apparently Tatyana is the more authentic spelling, and that's why he and his wife chose it. I really love the name spelled either way, but if I had to choose one spelling, I'd choose Tatiana. I don't doubt that it's less authentic, but I just like the way it looks better.
Do you like Tatiana/Tatyana? And which spelling do you prefer?
