WDYTO Poppy?

I love Poppy, but only as a middle name or nickname. It's a little cutesy for me as a given first name.
I don't like Mackenzie or the combo at all.

I agree with the others -- Poppy is cute on a kid, no longer cute on a corporate lawyer. In general I am kind of wary of flower names for this very reason - they just don't carry enough gravity for my taste.
Perhaps Pippa as an alternative?
As for Mackenzie, I put it in the same category as Madison - random last name first names for girls that frankly sound tacky.

Poppy was what we called my father's father instead of Grandpa, so it's nms as a given name. Even when I try to remove my personal association and judge it simply as a flower name, I still don't like it. I think it's because poppy flowers make me think of opium.
Poppy Mackenzie sounds okay rhythm-wise, but I don't like the combo. It's so close to the actress Poppy Montgomery's name.

It reminds me of "AYE! PAPI!" Tacky. I do love the flowers but they are not aptly named.
I kind of like Poppy and it's cute on a baby girl. My problem though is that I can't see that name on a grown woman. And as far as Mackenzie goes it's just one of those names I don't really get. I dislike it and to me it's too hard and too masculine and not a name I would give a daughter BUT I have to say that I like the combo's flow and style even though I'm not particularly crazy about either name.
Poppy is cute, but I can't see it aging well. I knew a thirteen year old Poppy and it really didn't suit her, I think it's a hard name to pull off. Someone once suggested Penelope "Poppy" which I really liked.
I really dislike Mackenzie. It's a trendy, over used surname. I dislike it on both genders.
Poppy Mackenzie as a combo does nothing for me I'm afraid.
