I wouldn't use any of them personally, but I much prefer John over the other two.
BTW, I feel Jon is nothing more than a nn for Jonathan and therefore the 2 names are one in the same.
Jonathan is definitely more dated than John. John is a hands down classic that would never date a kid.
Despite being classic, I still find John rather generic. I find the foreign forms of John much more appealing than John itself. I like:
Ian
Sean
Hans
