Of the three I only like John. For some reason unknown to me, I can not stand the name Jonathan.

John is a classic name, though I wouldn't use it myself as it's been over done with in my family. Jack would be my prefered nn.
As for variations, Evan and Ian are alright, but I adore Jane and Johnna.
