Huh.
I could've googled, my bad. I just thought it was some sort of random slangy or pop-culture assocation I was clueless about. No, it's really seaweed. Huh. Perchance we'll stick with Elodie, which I do like, but I prefer prn the French way to the English, although I think I like Elodia over the French Elodie anyway just for lack of pretention that way. *shrug*

I'm sure this sounds weird, but I like Elodea (the seaweed). It is fun to look at under a microscope and I think it looks pretty in a fish tank. For me, it wouldn't be a negative association for Elodia.
