Re: Fergus and India
in reply to a message by Bear
I've always loved India since I first saw "GWTW" as a child. My favorite India combo is India Jane. I might have considered using India at one time until my dh said to me "Why not just name the next one Afghanistan?" and I began to see his side of things.Fergus has never appealed to me. I picture a bewhiskered older gentlemen with a thick Scottish accent and an equally thick fisherman's sweater. ;-) Fergus Alasdair is quite fetching. I love Alasdair.

Yes, I remember watching GWTW as a kid and loving the name India too. Strange, because I'm put off of the name Scarlett because of the association. India Jane is nice. :-)And what's wrong with bewhiskered older gentlemen with thick Scottish accents? You sound as if that's a bad thing. ;-) Glad you liked Fergus Alasdair. I used to be anti-Alasdair for love of Alistair. But I've been cheating on Alistair lately and Alasdair just seemed softer and a better fit with crusty ol' Fergus.

LOL, that's it exactly! Fergus IS crusty and that's the main reason why I dislike it.I've always had a thing for names. I also remember seeing "Sound of Music" as a child and had a fit over all of the childrens' names (especially Brigitta and Louisa).BTW, Indira is stunning (I saw you mention that below).
