Message: "Gregory?" - Behind the Name

I am currently liking this name. Call me crazy, but I have a huge crush on Hugh Laurie. And of course, the character he plays is Gregory House. But that's not the only reason I like the name. To me, Gregory just seems .... well, I don't know what exactly.

So my question: what do you think of the name Gregory in general, Hugh Laurie excluded?
