Jack or Jacob?

Jack
Jacob is a very popular name right now. I named my baby boy Jacob, 8 years ago, with the intentions of calling him Jake. I am the only one who does call him that, though. When we go to the doctor there is always another Jacob in the room. Everywhere we go, I always here a "Jacob" being called out of the crowd. Whatever you decide, the name will be special to him one day. Jacob likes his name and that is what matters most in the end. I can say that I do not here Jake that often.
Jack. I'm so in love with that name.
jack
I prefer Jack.
Tough choice, I think. I like Jacob more than Jack, but I like Jack more than Jake. I think you could get away with Jacob nn Jack just because they sound similar. Though from an etymological standpoint, that is probably a horrible thing to do.
I don't think I'm too helpful here... sorry!
