Errrr.... Shayna and Shania are two completely different names with different spellings and meanings.
Also adding that my name is Shayna. It's alright. Done me well. But people have a fricken hard time wrapping their heads around the pronunciation, and it's a simple enough name. It's a source of constant annoyance to me, because I just don't GET how people can look at it and not understand: shay-na. I've been shah-NIE-ah, SHAN-yuh, SHAN-nah (skipping over the "y" sound entirely, then?) and a number of other stupid things. It's NOT that hard! *headdesk*

I prefer your spelling! But it still looks like it sounds.
I actually tend to congratulate people who get either my first or my last name right the first time. Which is silly, but it makes me smile, too.
