*is stunned* (twin names) +Oops
I was looking in the newspaper and an article mentioned a pair of twin boys about 9 years old... Marquise and Marquise. What do you think of twins having the exact same name?ETA: Yes, I can read, really! Apparently the person who wrote the article couldn't. Under the picture it says Marquise and Marquise, but in the article itself, they say Marquise and Marcus. Sorry! Apologies for any heart attacks related to this horrifying mistake!

well...My first reaction was: it is even legal to give siblings exactly the same name. Like this, they're still too close comfort, but better of course. Marcus's nice enough, but Marquise I find super-tacky. Isn'it feminine in French btw? I find it odd it's indicated as male in the database.

I know twins who have different first names but the same middle named spelled differently.

A few years ago there was a horrible transatlantic adoption scandal and the two little twin girls involved were named Kiara and Keyara...which I find ridiculous.

...I'd like to suggest that it is probably a typo :).

Oh...Upon your 'suggestion', I went back and reread the article. It was Marquise and Marcus. Oops. Sorry!

It's still pretty bad though. Marquise and Marcus are really close. I'm sure you're not the first person to think they had the same name.

Yikes! We had twin girls at work once named BriAnna and BreAhna, and I thought that was horrid. Their mother even said, 'They're twins, so they should have the same name. Um, WHAT?! But at least she didn't really give them THE SAME NAME. *hangs head in despair*

That is the worst thing I have ever heard. Nevermind that they are twins, even if they were just siblings it would be horrible. There not even...similar. They're...the...same...
