Heard these names on a set of G/G twins....
Nicolette and Jadzia (pr. Jad-zee-uh)I'm torn...I like them, then I don't like them. When I look at "Nicolette" it makes me think of Nicorette gum (you know, the gum to help you stop smoking). "Jadzia" is a little too "Star Trek" sounding/looking for me.What are your opinions?

Ditto on the Star-Trek associationPlus I didn't really like her character. At all.

I have the same reaction to Nicolette. I much prefer Colette (my favorite girl's name!) and Nicole. I love Jadzia though. The Star Trek association doesn't bother me. Not too many people have seen Deep Space Nine - heck, I've barely even seen DS9. I never got into it like I did with, say, Voyager.

They don't "fit" together at all, not in the slightest. I don't like either name either.

I like Nicolette, but I have the same problem with it that you do: nicorette.I adore Jadzia, and I think the Anglicised pronunciation is just fine. The Star Trek association doesn't worry to much, as it's not a mainstream interest.

And it's also from DS9Which is even less mainstream. She was still such an annoying character.

Not a fan. Nicolette is too cutesy for me and Jadzia is mispronounced and feels spiky.
