2. MIE-ah, btw. It's on my PNL

I pronounce it like MY-ah. That's probably the easiest way of explaining it.

I personally like the pronunciation MIE-a, but I think that MAY-a is cute too. I prefer the spelling Maya, as well. Not a bad name.

I like MIE-a. I love it, but it's a little popular for me to actually use it. (Not to mention I fell in love with it watching Eight Below, it's one of the dogs names, and I really don't want that to be the story I tell my daughter of how I came to love her name)

I see it as an 'Englishized' spelling of Maya / Maja and I pronounce it the same way ('MAH-yah').

I have a friend named Maia Esther, which I always thought was pretty. She's the only person I've ever seen with that name, and she pronounced it MIE-a, so that's how I pronounce it.
