Agnes may be growing on me as well, partially because it starts a bit like Agatha, which I really started to like recently.
With respect to your combos, I prefer (in order) -
Agnes Caroline
Agnes Jospehine
Agnes Margaret (I like Margaret, but not sure I like it with Agnes)Agnes Irene (Irene is not my favourite, but it's fine if you're naming to honour someone)
I do think Agnes and Alice are too similar sounding for sisters, but only just.
