Agnes
What do you think of Agnes as a first name? My great-grandmother's name was Agnes and I've recently warmed up to it as a first name.
Some combos I'm thinking about:
Agnes Caroline
Agnes Margaret (my great-grandmother's name)
Agnes Irene (another great-grandmother was named Irene)
Agnes Josephine
Also, do you think Agnes and Alice are too similar sounding for sisters? I think they probably are, but I want opinions.

I love Agnes!
Our of your combos I think Agnes Josephine and Agnes Irene sound the nicest.

Agnes Josephine is nice
I love Agnes and think it could be ripe for a comeback. It just needs a celebrity or TV/movie character to contemporize the name a bit.
Agnes Caroline - Wonderful. The flow is great.
Agnes Margaret - Margaret and Agnes are too similar, imo. I'd go with something a little less...old than Margaret, just in case Agnes didn't like her name and wanted to go by her mn.
Agnes Irene - See Agnes Margaret.
Agnes Josephine - I think this is the best combo you have up there.
I'd ponder going with a more trendy mn if you're going to use Agnes. Like I said, Agnes may rebel against her name and she will need an appropriate mn to fall back on. Luckily for you, classic names (I'm guessing that's your taste) are popular right now. Some ideas:
Agnes Sophia
Agnes Samantha
Agnes Natalie
Agnes Victoria

Finally, yes, Agnes and Alice are too similar for sisters.

Agnes may be growing on me as well, partially because it starts a bit like Agatha, which I really started to like recently.
With respect to your combos, I prefer (in order) -
Agnes Caroline
Agnes Jospehine
Agnes Margaret (I like Margaret, but not sure I like it with Agnes)Agnes Irene (Irene is not my favourite, but it's fine if you're naming to honour someone)
I do think Agnes and Alice are too similar sounding for sisters, but only just.

I love Agnes. It is my confirmation name. I think it has such a classic charm about it and I love it with nn Nessa. From your list I like Agnes Josephine the best, but Agnes Caroline is also nice.
I would say that Agnes and Alice are a bit close for my liking, but I wouldn't mind them in a sibset.

I love Agnes and I just put it on my list of names that I want to see used again. I love your combos as well. I think Alice sounds a bit two similar, but could certainly be used as a middle name for a sister. :-)
