I adore that musical! I didn't like the fact that they pronounced her name Joanna in the movie, though. (Even jo-HAH-na, as they say it in the original cast, bugs me a little, but pronouncing it the same as Joanna far more so.)

I don't mind the name at all, it's quite nice. I prefer Joanna (jo-ANN-a).
Though I like both, I'm starting to lean on the side of Joanna. Johanna is a bit softer, and I like Joanna's hard directness. It's pretty, but also business like, if that makes sense. I've recently been very into this name. (My current favourite combo is Joanna Magdalene.) I think it's quite due for a revival.
Can I just add that Johanna pronounced Joanna bothers me so much? I just saw the movie version of Sweeney Todd and it was really bugging me. So, er...yeah, I'm glad you're pronouncing it yo-HAHN-a too.
