Hi. My name is Erin. I am trying to learn more about the history of this name for a class assignment. I visited some relatives in Ireland over Christmas and they told me that Erin isn't really an Irish name, though I thought it was, and that even when it is used there, it's never used for guys. I know here in the US that it's used for both guys and girls (I am a guy) so I wondered why there was a difference and want to know more about what the name means etc.ThanksErin
