I like Iris the best. I'd love it more if I wasn't an eye doctor. It would be such a weird name for my own daughter, even if it does make me think of flowers and not the iris of the eye.

Ivy is nice though not something I'd use. Irene is fine, but I don't love it.

Definitely Iris. I do like Ivy but the 'poison ivy' thing bothers me a bit. I like Irene because of personal associations but not necessarily the sound of it (though I do like the eye-ree-nee pronunciation, thanks to "The Forsyte Saga").

I love the name Iris, though I may be biased, slightly, since it's my mom's name. I think it's so feminine, classy-sounding, and very underused...gorgeous imo! :-)

Ivy and Irene, on the other hand, are both dnmsaa...two of my least favorite names. Ivy sounds so harsh to me, and Irene is so dated.

But Iris's firm and confident -ris after the long I I so adore, plus how she's a rainbow goddess, makes it win. Ivy is just very spunky to me, like Frances is lately. I love it.
