I like it on a boy, but I hate it on a girl. Unfortunately, I don't think it is very usable on a boy nowadays. It would be similiar to using Loren (which I like) which sounds too similiar to the ever popular female Lauren. I actually know a couple guys with the name Loren but they either go by their middle name, or it already is their middle name and the rarely if ever disclose it to anyone. I find Ashley to be similiar.
