They're definitely different, but I don't think they're a bad set. They're both good names on their own. I wouldn't personally use such mismatched names, but I would much rather see completely mismatched twins than twins named James and Jaime, James and Jamison, or something equally ridiculous.

They certainly don't fit together!:)

Giovanni means John - how about James and John (Jimmy and Johnny), very cute!!If she is stuck on Giovanni, how about Giovanni and Guiseppe or Alessandro or something italian. Tell her they are mismatched and guide her to this website.

I think they kindof match because they both have a 'J' sound at the start. but i guess their names will grow on them and people will start to know them as 'James and Giovanni'.

I dislike matching twin names, but I like for them to at least go together. James and Giovanni don't go well together IMO. One is Biblical and the other is a strong Italian name.

They don't match at all, but I like both names on their own.

I agree. The first thing I thought was plain (James) and different (Giovanni). I don't particularly like either name. James is just too popular and Giovanni doesn't sound nice to my ears.
