Jack
Now that I'm on the subject of naming my next child (who, hopefully, won't come for at least another year), what do you think of Jack for a boy? I adore it, and so does my bf, but it's really popular here. It's almost as if every little boy you meet is named Jack. I would love to use this name, but are there any less popular alternatives to it? And does anyone know of some goods mn's for Jack?

I love Jack, popularity doesn't bother me.

Jack is okay but its far too nicknamey for me, popularity doesnt matter to me I used James for my son because it is a family name and both my husband and myself like it,I was told he would be one of many in school but I dont know any boys his age called James
Jack is very popular but if you like it use it, you could give your children the most unusual names in the world only to have those names suddenly rise in popularity
My freind grew up being Julie D because of the popularity of her name
she wanted something different for her daughter and called her Chloe which 16+ years ago was concidered unusual I personally now know 11 Chloe's, two of whom ended up in the same class with my freinds daughter
What I am trying to say is use the name you love dont settle for a name that is second best in your affections
A childs smile is worth more to me than Gold

I prefer Jackson, but Jack is ok I guess.
I love the name, Jack. It's on our list. My dh was looking at a baby name book and saw Jaxon. You could name him Jaxon and call him Jack for short. It's definitely less popular than Jackson.
The spelling of Jaxon looks a litte too trendy, although I like Jackson alot. Unfortunately my bf has slammed Jackson and all its spelling variations so I have no hope of using it :(

I like it ONLY as a nickname for John, which is what it really is.
I love Jack! It's on my favorites list. It's just so simple and straight-forward. Anyone could be named Jack, that's what I love about it.
Hmm... Well there is Jackson as an alternative but it's pretty popular too. I've also occasionally seen Jack used as a nickname for James.

I love Jack, you could use Jackson and call him Jack. Or I know a boy named John and they call him Jack for some reason.

I like the name Jack, and I don't think it's as popular as you make it our to be. I very rarely see it in local birth announcements, and here it's on people's lists of names they like, but not that many. And, even if it were very popular, who cares? You like the name, and that's all that matters.
Anyway, I suggest Jack Paul, Jack Thomas, and Jack Donovan.
