I only know one Maya (who spells in Maja). Even though I don't know too many people with the name, I think in general it's gained popularity over the past 5-7 years. I'm not sure about it being within the top ten, but I know it'll be up there. Personally, I think it's very pretty.

I've only met one Maya (in her 40's now I think) personally. But I do think it's getting more popular. I think it's lovely name.

It's showing pretty steady climb.

I've never actually met a Maya. I think Mia is more popular here, but once parents get bored of Mia maybe they'll turn to Maya, you never know. Personally I adore Maya, It's one of those rare names that's really cute on a kid but ages well.

I really like Maya, but here it was one of the most popular name for girls in the 1970s and 80s (with Ivana and Ana), so there are hordes of them my age and it's a bit boring now (we use the spelling Maja).
