How on earth do you pronounce this?
A sighting on childbirth.org: Ruhiyyih. What is this supposed to be, does anyone know?

Am I...The only regular poster who bothered to actually research this? While I wasn't able to find the pronounciation, I discovered the origin. Listen to LMcK01 on this one.

Thanks, I did research it as well. It looked familiar. It amazes me that no one else would bother. Being a lurker and not a regular poster, I thought others would get there before I did. :)

I have honestly no idea, but I'm going to have a guess and say its a creative version of Rhea.

At first glance, I would pronounce it Ruh-EE-yee. Gosh, say that 10 times in a row :)

It is pronounced Ru-ee. The name comes from the Baha'i Faith and is thought to mean spirit-like lady. I have see it spelled Rui and Rhuie.

Is that suppose to be a name? It looks like my daughter got ahold of the keyboard and just started pounding on the keys. I have no idea what that is.
