Heroic is in the eye of the beholder - and just what *is* "value as a name"?

The fact that some here don't approve of the source doesn't make those names less heroic. I chose Alexander and Gideon because they are heroic to me, and I'd venture to say plenty of people here and otherwhere agree with me. But I also find Aragorn, Elessar, and yes, Strider, heroic, regardless of how few people might agree with me.
