Tavian
What are your thoughts on the masculine name of Tavian? Pronounced tay-vee-an.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I like it as a nn for Octavian, but it sounds modern and made-up on its own, if that makes sense.
Much prefer Octavian
I like it but would prefer it as a nn for Octavian
I like it but it feels like it should have Oc in front of it.
Thank you!
For the longest time I've loved Octavian but thought it too 'heavy' to use. Tavian never even popped into my head, but now it's going straight to the top of my list!

I like it. It's original sounding without being weird or too trendy (no -AYDEN).
But I might be partial since my favorite boy name is Tavish. I like the look of that Tav.

This name has actually been on previous lists of mine. I like it alot.
My knee-jerk reaction is that I like the sound of it. My more thoughtful response is, "What's a Tavian?" The avian part in there is a bit negative to me (avian flu associations), but the fact that the name just sounds nice does a lot to overcome that for me. Plus, there's lots of NN potential (always a bonus for me), and it sounds masculine without coming across as overly tough (like Hunter).
