I dislike both names too, especially Finley which is so popular here right now

I've always really liked Bethany, but see no appeal to Finley. I esp. detest Finley on a girl. All I hear is fish fins-not exactly appealing. But the nn Finn for a boy is kind of cute.

I like both of those names, especially Finley. They sound a bit matchy to me though.

I like Bethany - I like anything with 'beth' (except not so much Elizabeth coz it's not really pronounced 'beth') coz of the character in Little Women, and also Beth is my mum's name. I don't really like Finley - might like it a little better if it was spelt Finlay.

I love them both, especially Finley, which is the name of my second son. :)

I'm not fond of Bethany, prefer Beth to be a nn for Elisabeth, but I LOVE Finley! Very sweet and I enjoy it on either gender, preferably spelled Finlay.

Well, I really hate Bethany, but Finley is one of my favorite boy names. I don't think the two go together at all.

Despite its growing popularity, I love the name Finley. I suppose it is sort of a guilty pleasure; I doubt I would ever use it. Bethany is the name of a best friend, so that definitely warms me up to it immensely. She goes by "B" of "Bethy" most of the time, which fits her personality nicely. The names don't seem to go together to me for some reason. I don't like how they both end the same.
