Re: Parthenope (as a middle name)
Love Parthenope.I first heard the name when watching a TV program about Florence Nightingale. Her sister was named Parthenope. Supposedly, the two sisters were named after the cities in Italy where they were born (if I remember correctly). I think Parthenope was born in Naples -- am I right?Anyway, the British narrator pronounced it "par-THEN-uh-pee." Very pretty. Is that how you pronounce it? As for fns, how about:Anna Parthenope
Renata Parthenope (= reborn in Naples?)
Silvia Parthenope
Mariana Parthenope
Livia Parthenope
Iris Parthenope
Isidora Parthenope
Lydia / Lidia Parthenope
Elena Parthenope
Adriana Parthenope (Adriatic Sea is another reference?)
Natalia Parthenope (= born in Naples?)
Artemis Parthenope
Artemisia Parthenope (nn Mia, Mimi, Misia?)
Zoe Parthenope
Leda Parthenope
Anything but Sophia / Sofia. I'm so tired of it. Good luck!
