Salem - nothing like naming your child after the location of the witch hunts.
just because someone is names Salem doesn't mean it's after the witch trials. There are many places named Salem, not to mention it's short for Jerusalem.

I know :) It's usually the first thing that came to my mind; I recently read a novel about the witch trials. Besides, my comments are more facetious than accurate.
