They both sound feminine, though I don't care for either. I prefer Marcel (m) to Marcella.For middle names Mae, Sue, Eve, Grace, and Faith are all nice if a bit plain and used as fillers. Why not use Marylin, Susanna, Evelyn, Gracelyn, or Frances instead?

They sound feminine but Marcella can mean male and Cyrilla means lordly

I don't think it matters too much what a name means. As long as it isn't something bad or can be translated as offensive. I know a woman named Marcella and it works fine.

I know both and they are friends of my meme's so I've grown up with the names and I really like them.
