Riley
Which spellings of Riley do you prefer for male & female?
I like Reilly for a male. I want to like Rylea (I like the "lea") for a female, but it looks wrong. Any suggestions?

I love Reilly on a boy and Riley on a girl. Rylea is way too over done. I don't really see a point in changing the spelling on a perfectly good name.
I like both Reilly and Riley on boys and Riley and Rylie on girls. Personally, I'd probably only ever use it as a MN, simply b/c I prefer older-sounding names. Granted, Riley is an older surname, but again, I'm not gung-ho about using surnames as FN - although I'm game to use surnamey names in the MN slot! :o)
I only like this name for a boy. I prefer the spelling Riley, but Ryley and Reilly are perfectly fine as well.
Reilly for a male (Riley is good too)
Rhylie.........
and if not Rhylie then I would go with Riley. I can see it on a girl but I don't like it as a girls name. The only female Riley I knew was a two faced b**** who betrayed my younger sister's friendship for popularity and boys.

I really like Riley on a girl but I don't really like that spelling on a boy. It just looks girly to me. I like Reilly slightly more for a boy.

I would never pn Rylea the same as Riley. Probably because when I see lea I think of some of my favorite Hawaiian names, and would pn it as I would then.
I only like the spelling Riley, and think its suitable for either gender, although, I prefer it used for a boy.

Reilly is an attractive spelling for a boy imo. It reminds me of 'O Reilly. I prefer Riley for a girl. Somehow it looks softer and more feminine. Rylea is too frilly for me and too many vowels so close too each other. Rhylia might help to soften it somewhat. Interesting question though.

I adore Riley, but only for a girl. I think Riley for a guy is *ok* but I wouldn't use it on a boy.
So, for a boy the only spelling I would use is Riley. For a girl I would probably use Riley, though I don't mind Ryleigh.
Rylea: There is so much potential for mispronunciation here. I don't think it's a pretty enough spelling to be worth the confusion, personally.

Yep, ditto completley
Agreed
It's my nephews name, and I don't like it on anyone but him. :)

Ditto entirely.
I would really like to use Riley someday, and I get a bit irrationally angry every time I see it on a girl. Just don't.

I agree, and
for some reason, I always think Coco Riley Arquette, Courteney Cox and David Arquette's daughter. *shrugs* I also think of some Mary-Kate and Ashley movie where one of their names is Riley. It's the one where they go to Australia because they're in the witness protection program, but I can't remember what it's called, lol.

Wow......
I didn't realize anyone actually paid atention to the Olsen twins anymore. I never did. Only thing I've seen of theirs was Full House and a Halloween movie once. Their acting was a lot better in Full House. Are the Olsen's still popular, I just figured that they weren't because I never see anything about them anymore. Last thing I saw was that one was supposedly a wild child and had to go to rehab.
I was just thinking about it, I've never met anyone my age that cared much for the Olsen twins, am I too old or young or something? I'm 20 if you're curious.

I was a huge fan of them growing up, I think mainly because I loved full house, and they were the ones that did other stuff besides the show that I knew of. Either way, they are still around, mostly doing movies for TV that get on DVD. Sad part is, its almost always the same story, with a different twist.
Ah, then that must've been what I was thinking of. I wonder why they had the same names in the show and movie?
Ah, silly me. Thanks for pointing that out. :)
