Reed on a girl?
I had heard Reid on a girl and now Reed. I personally think these are boys names. WDYT?

I knew a little girl in elementary school named Reed (not sure how it was spelled) and there was a character on the 1990s show "Sisters" named Reed, played by Ashley Judd. Reed was her mother's maiden name, so at least there was a reason for it. :b Reed happens to be my mother's maiden name as well, so I like it as a possible mn for one of my kids, but only for a boy. It doesn't nothing for me at all on a girl.

boy names, of course! I think of Reid as a surname, and Reed as a boys name. They shouldn't be used on girls

I can see Reed as an extention of all those plant names that are used on girls. Reid is totally boy though.
