Honestly, WDYT? I've only come across it today properly for the first time. As it's an Italian pet form of the name
Rosa, I'm assuming it probably means along the lines of 'little Rosa/litte
Rose'?
When I see it though, I can't help thinking of the
Rosetta Stone, which I've heard of so many times before, so the familiarity with that association has taken off the cuteness for me a bit. I've also noticed it hasn't been very popular since the sixties. A bit outdated, maybe?
