Dominic for me

Though I can definitely see the use of Nick (not Nic) as a nn. I love Nick, yet don't care for Nicholas at all (Scarlett says I'm a "weirdie").
As far as the whole K thing goes, appropo of nothing, I do know of one sibset of three brothers; their parents did a neat thing (I think) with their names: Erik, Dominik and Nikolas (no Cs in any of them). They all have that K element in common, but they didn't use names that all start with K. This is the sort of creative naming I can appreciate, even if I think the spellings strain credulity a tad.
