I use to really love the name Sydney for a girl because of the show Alias. However, after meeting some little girls named Sydney, I'm not sure the name has the same cool quality. it seems to be a more of a princess type name than a tomboy unisex type name, if that makes any sense.

I strongly dislike Sydney or Sidney for a boy. the name's gone over to the girls, it would be cruel to name a boy Sydney.
