India
I really like the name India... but it is so different I don't think I would actually give my daughter this name. I LOVE the name though. What do you think?

I prefer Indiana or Indigo.
My two-year-old cousin's name is India. I didn't like it originally, but it has really grown on me. I like that it has been used for a lot longer than some of the other place names.
I like it because it was often used in 19th century England and America. It has a lot more history than the name Boston or London being used on people. When I hear India I think of a classy lady, not a trendy baby. I think it is even a character in Gone With the Wind, but I could be wrong.
India Wilkes
cute, but I pefer Indiana or Indigo.
I prefer Indiana to India, and I'm not really that keen on Indiana.
I really like it. I like the sound, it's nice, even though I wouldn't use it myself.
My honourary niece's dad wanted her name to be India- mum wasn't keen, she wanted Ella, which they went with in the end. I'm glad, because she is such an Ella, and I don't think she would've suited India (I can't see it on a blonde kid, no idea why)

I really like it.
I think it's lovely--it's got a lot longer history as a first name than, say, Madison, and its sound is nice. It's not one I'd use, but I like it.

I really like India but, due to the fuss people make about using place names when you have no connection with, it's more a GP for me.
