I love Rose however i cant stand Rosie for some reason, i dont really know why (no offence meant to anyone). I do like other Rose names like Rosalie and Rosamund though.

I love Rose as a fn. It's by far my favourite flower name. I try not to use it as a mn because it's been used so often (especially by those using a unisex/masculine name). That's why my top combo has been Isabel Rosemary and Isabel Primrose, the Rose I love is still there but it's different.

Here in the UK Rosie is quite popular as a full name but people seem to have forgotten about using Rose as anything but a mn (or hyphenating it, England seems to be obsessed by hyphenating names at the moment and Rose is common for the second part - Ellie-Rose, Evie-Rose, Sophie-Rose, Millie-Rose and so on. Either that or Mae/May/Mai). Rosie is nice but I prefer it to be kept as a nn.

I love it as a fn! I agree that Rosie is really cute too. I actually quite like Rosie as a full fn.

I like it as a middle name, I would want to maybe use this as a mn for my next child if its a girl (either Rose or Elise)

I like Rosa, Rosalie, Rosalia, etc, but I have never liked Rose for whatever reason. I can appreciate it's usage and history, but I haven't warmed up to it yet.

I love the name Rose as a first name. I think it's very pretty.

I think it is a wonderful first name, very pretty on any age. I have a seven year old cousin with this name and it is lovely on her.

I think it is really underused as a first name, and I love the name Rosie too.

I have a cousin named Rose. She's 17 now, but when she was little everyone called her Rosie. I think it's a lovely first name.

I really think it's a sweet name. Kind of a throwback- everyone's heard of it, but it feels like it belongs to an earlier generation. Saying that though, I feel that it is definately fresh sounding enough to fit nicely nowadays.

I really like Rose as a full name, but I do prefer it with a longer name such as Rosemary, Rosa, or Rosamunde.

I really don't care much for it. Maybe it's that I don't care much for roses either, and find them overdone and overhyped. I'm the girl who wants a bouquet of something else, ANYTHING else but roses.

My mother's name is Rose, and I think that it is beautiful. I know that it is becoming a very popular middle name, but I really do prefer it as a fn, as well. I think that Rosie is a lovely nn. I actually plan on naming my future daughter in honor of my mother by using Rosalie.

I like Rose. I know twins about 8 or 9 named Rose and Grace - while I usually wouldn't like Grace that much, I think that's an adorable twinset. :)

I love it as a fn. Short, but sweet; it's very refreshing. And I agree with you about the nn Rosie -- very cute.

Have you thought about mns? Rose as a fn is very versatile.

I like it more as a fn than a mn, especially since it's become more popular a middle name. There's a little girl named Rose Calliope that goes to my church, and she's a doll :)
