Gray
WDYT of Gray for a girl?
I realize it's sort of tryndee, but it has meaning to me.
Right now, I think it sounds better as a MN, but any combo suggestions would also be appreciated. For obvious reasons, I'd like to pair it with something more classic.

I like Grey better for a girl, but I'm assuming it's not only the name Gray, but that particular spelling that has meaning. :o) There's absolutely nothing I can find wrong with Gray in the mn slot, though.
I'm really diggin' Aurelia Gray, but it may be too rhymey for you.
Others from your PNL that I really like are Flora Gray, Daphne Gray, Elsa Gray, Lavinia Gray, Penelope Gray & Ursula Gray.

Definitely Gray for a boy!!
I'm a big fan of Gray. I love color names... It might be trendy, but its got meaning for me too, so I say go for it.
Personally, I like Grey better... For either a boy or a girl. The two combos I have are Della Grey and Thomas Grey. I think it works really well in the middle name slot, too.
I'll have a go at some combos (Right now I'm feeling it with 3 syllables, even though both my combos have it with 2):
Coraline Gray
Angeline Gray
Genevieve Gray
Magnolia Gray
Octavia Gray
Susannah Gray
Penelope Gray
Helena Gray

I've seen two movies recently with the lead character named Gray. So odd. I don't think of it as trendy, is it? It seems like an odd coincidence for two movies released the same year to use the same unusual name. (Gray Matters and Catch and Release btw...)
I can't say I really like it. Gray is a dark, depressing association imo. It's just not pretty.

Love it. It's in my top spot as a middle name.
Ooh, I think Gray would make a wonderful mn. Very professional sounding, I think.

I prefer Grey for a boy, Gray for a girl...so I like it!
I'm exactly the opposite.
For some reason, I find Gray more masculine & Grey more feminine. :o)

I like it as a middle name but I've always seen Gray as a guy's name and I don't want to see another name stolen for the girls.
I think it's absolutely awful, sorry. For one thing, it's a surname, and if you MUST use a surname as a first name, it should be on a boy. For another, it has a rather masculine sound to me. It also is gloomy and dreary and, well, gray.
Well, it's a family name for me (on a boy), so I think it's nice. As far as on a girl... it could work. I'd go with it as a mn, but I think it could be nice with a great, classic feminine fn :)
kind of cute [m]
if Scarlet, Indigo, and other colours can be used why not Gray?
Charlotte Gray is nice, IMO

My mother almost named me Gray. I'm really glad she didn't though because I find it to be a little dull. I agree with you that it sounds better as a middle name. I think Elizabeth Gray sounds nice. Or maybe Laura Gray.
